    • The new parent involvement survey is now online. Please feel free to provide feedback through this survery.

    • The Cobra Concert Band performed at their annual district evaluation, receiving straight superiors in concert performance and in sightreading. Congratulations.

    • The Fellowship Church of South Miami will be conducting a beautification project at South Miami Senior High School on Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Any students interested should contact the Activities office.

    • The latest curriculum bulletin for the 2009-2010 school year is now available on the Student Services page.

    • Our magnet visual arts students participated in a Young Artists Series Exhibit sponsored by
      the South Miami branch of Turnberry Bank (7312 Red Road). An article about the event appeared in the Miami Herald in the South Miami Neighbors on March 5. Each student received a $25 certificate of deposit and the opportunity to open their own savings account. The following students participated:

    • Congratulations to the Magnet Cobra Chorus on earning straight superior ratings in their district music performance assessment at Ronald Reagan Sr. High School. The Magnet Chorus now qualifies our chorus for state evaluation held in Coral Gables during late March/early April.

    • Parents, there will be a PTSA Meeting on March 24th in the auditorium at 7:00 pm.
    • Sulay Palenque is one of the five finalists for this year's Publix Design Challenge. Congratulations!
    • Let's congratulate the Magnet Department students who competed at the PTSA reflections competition in the photography category.
