Register on www.fastweb.com and www.schoolnotes.com (place 33155 zip
code and look for Mrs. Arguelles' information) to help you search for
scholarships.
Apply for Florida Bright
Futures and Florida financial aid
Narrow your college list to no more than eight schools.
Request catalogs and admissions information.
Register for the SAT/ACT tests as soon as possible. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL
THE LAST TEST!!!
Meet with the admissions representatives who are visiting your school.
Make a list of test names, dates, fees and registration deadlines,
and deadlines for college admissions and financial aid applications.
By September, ask teachers, guidance counselors and employers for
letters of recommendation to include with your admissions and/or scholarship
application.
Work on the admissions application essays.
Complete your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal
Student Aid) and/or CSS Profile form.
The FAFSA is available to be completed after January and the CSS Profile
is available
now!
Prepare your application carefully- Follow the instructions and pay
close attention to DEADLINES!!

for at guidance or see Mrs. Arguelles
CHECK YOUR CREDITS CAREFULLY (24 Credits to Graduate)
FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION
1) Apply for admission to the colleges of your choice. Students do not
receive financial aid awards until they have been admitted; however,
you should request information on financial aid programs available
to you through the college when you apply for admission.
2) File the appropriate Free Application for Federal Student Aid form.
Some colleges require the CSS Profile form It will be your parents and
your responsibility to provide the college of your choice with the appropriate
information.
3) Check carefully all correspondence which you receive back from colleges
or the processors of your financial aid forms. Respond immediately to
any requests for corrections, clarifications or further information.
