| Dr. Keith Astuto of the Social Studies Department was recently honored
by the Miami Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta with a third
place award in the bank's Lesson Plan of the Year contest. The contest
was open to teachers in high schools & middle schools and teachers-in-training
in the southern half of the state. Dr. Astuto's entry, "Bankers,
Buzzers & Bucks," created a game show in which students learned
about the structure and functions of the Federal Reserve System and then
