audition date for Visual Fine Art, Digital Art, Photography, And
TV Broadcast will be Saturday February 13; Music will audition on
Saturday, February 27.

the first round interviews, only 90 students were called back for

“Change
the World; Save a Life” is a Silver Knight project that is
being carried out by a cobra junior Amy Diaz under the supervision
of Mercy Aycart. Her goal is to make Cobras turn “green”.
It’s about time that we start to recycle some of the many resources
that we use on a daily basis. Click

Underclass Picture Day is scheduled for Thursday, October 22, and
Friday, October 23. Students will attend Picture Day with their English
teacher. These two days will be special dress-up days where a uniform
will not be required for underclassmen. Students may dress up as
long as the attire follows the Miami Dade County Public School's
dress code. Underclass students this means: No flip-flops, spaghetti
straps, tank tops, short shorts, or any other article of clothing
that does not comply with the MDCPS dress code. Again, Underclass
Picture Day will be held on October 22 and October 23. Click

October 9, 2009, the Best Buddies club will be celebrating "Disability
History And Awareness Week" by hosting a "ESE Carnival" for
the Special Needs self-contained classes. The carnival will take
place in the spill out area from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.
South Miami Senior High was pleased to have Phil Clarke, a South
Miami graduate and ex-NFL New Orleans Saints player here on October
6th to represent the NCSA. Cheryl Golden from the GMAC also came
to speak to our athletes about sports after college.
