On January 14, 2010 the Media Center with select members of the Cobra Readers club participated in a nationwide videoconference with Holocaust survivor and author Gerda Weissman Klein. This was the inaugral videoconference for South Miami Senior High. The conference, titled Stand Up, Speak Out, was organized by MAGPI and the Klein Foundation as a venue for increasing community service involvement by students. As part of the participation, our group undertook a service project to build a library for a Camillus House in Brownsville. A wiki at PB Works was created for the event by the organizers and can be accessed by clicking here.
