Assignment(s):

Continue to read for pleasure.  Only one book is required summer reading.  Be well prepared to discuss it.  There may be an exam to assess your knowledge of the book.  You may want to write summaries of the chapters or keep marginal notes in order to remember the characters and events.

In addition, study vocabulary and practice test-taking skills.  If you intend to seek admission to a college or university in the fall, sign up to take the S.A.T. or A.C.T. as soon as possible.

Due Date:

We will discuss the novel during the first week of school.  Please do not ignore this assignment!  Additional assignments will be given in class during the first week of school. This assignment will be worth multiple grades; please do not take it lightly!
