ASSIGNMENT:

Read the novel during the summer.  Keep notes or write brief summaries in the margin of the book or on a separate notebook.  This will help you remember key events and characters from the story.

On Tuesday of the first week of school, the following assignment will be due:

Title Acrostic- Take a sheet of construction paper and write the title of the book down the side of the paper.  For each letter in the title, construct a sentence that begins with that letter and tells something significant about the book.  Include images and be creative.

During the first week of school, you will be given an assignment to assess your knowledge of the book.

Do not procrastinate. This assignment will be graded and will be your first few grades of the school year.
