The Language Arts department acknowledges the uniqueness of each student by individually promoting each student's intellectual, emotional, and aesthetic development. In pursuit of this goal, the department:

• provides opportunities for students to meet the demands of post-secondary education.
• exposes them to multicultural values through the reading and discussion of literature.
• makes them aware through research activities of a variety of opportunities for becoming constructive members of society.
• encourages them to become well-rounded individuals who will contribute to the communities of the future by practicing the lifelong value of learning.
