English III Honors – Independent Reading Assignment

In addition to works you will read for this course, you are responsible for reading four (4) books independently.  You will select two (2) novels from each of the lists below.  Some of these books are available in the media center; however, you may choose to purchase your own to make notations in it.  Following the list of books are the due dates for each assignment.  NO LATE ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.  If you are absent on the due date, your absence must be excused for you to receive credit.  Do not procrastinate!  I encourage you to bring your book to class on silent reading days.

Plagiarism of any kind will receive a zero, and possible disciplinary action.  Evade temptation by avoiding online sources altogether.  (Look at it this way: what’s the good in going through the trouble of cutting and pasting if you’re going to get a zero anyway?  Save yourself the energy, and me the trouble.)
